Lysorng Oeng, an electrical engineer from Electricité du Cambodge, recently visited Australia as part of a delegation from Cambodia.
During the visit, Lysorng engaged with Australia's renewable energy sector, exploring innovative sites showcasing Australia’s commitment to the clean energy transition. These included solar farms, rooftop solar installations and pumped hydroelectric power stations. Discussions also covered energy markets, the integration of variable renewable energy sources, Cambodia’s battery capacity and weather forecasting technology tailored to Cambodia's needs.
Inspired by Australia's approach to renewables, Lysorng is determined to drive positive change for Cambodia's energy future.
