Imagine a Cambodia where women and girls thrive as leaders, entrepreneurs, and equals. That is the vision behind the Neary Rattanak VI strategy (2024 – 2028), a landmark initiative launched by the Ministry of Women's Affairs of Cambodia and supported by Australia.

Australia is proud to support Cambodia in this initiative and stands firmly with Cambodia on this transformative journey. We believe that gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but also crucial for building peaceful and prosperous societies.

This initiative paves the way for a more equitable Cambodia, empowering women and girls across all aspects of life. The strategy prioritises gender equality and women's economic empowerment. This means creating more opportunities for women and girls to participate in the workforce, lead thriving businesses, and reach their full potential.

Our flagship economic development program, CAPRED, exemplifies this commitment by collaborating with the Government and other stakeholders to promote gender equality and women’s economic empowerment across various sectors.
