Australia supports Cambodian youth-driven climate solutions

Australia supports Cambodian youth-driven climate solutions

Climate change poses an urgent threat to our region, but many young Cambodians are committed to making a difference.

Australia was proud to support the Cambodia Youth Climate Change program. Through a series of workshops, field visits and discussions held from January to April, the program engaged about 60 students to learn about climate change challenges and develop innovative solutions.

At the program’s culminating conference on 28 April, these young environmental leaders showcased their resulting climate solutions – ranging from mobile solar panels for renewable energy to plastic recycling and eco-friendly products.

♻️ Australia is supporting Cambodia to strengthen its resilience to climate change impacts, transition to clean energy, and meet its climate neutrality target by 2050. Happy World Environment Day!
