Australia recently hosted an Energy Sector Development Partners meeting in Cambodia. This exciting event brought together development partners to share information about their respective energy portfolios, ensure complementarity and take advantage of synergies.

Held every six months, the meeting is a platform to enhance coordination and facilitate development cooperation activities in the energy sector.

In this way, it will avoid duplication and fragmentation of investment delivery by partners.

The meeting focused on three thematic focus areas, including: energy efficiency; variable renewable energy integration; and Cambodia’s Power Development Plan.

Through our flagship economic development program – CAPRED - Australia is working closely with the Cambodian government to manage the clean energy transition. Our aim is to build a brighter, cleaner energy future for Cambodia.
