Australia is helping Tboung Khmum pepper farmers gain global recognition

Cambodian pepper is famous for its exceptional quality. Kampot pepper was one of the country’s first products to receive Protected Geographical Indication status, and pepper exports have increased nearly ten times over the past 10 years.

Now, Australia is partnering with Two Parrots Enterprise to support pepper farmers in Tboung Khmum province. The partnership helps famers meet GLOBALG.A.P. standards – an international benchmark for safe and sustainable agriculture. Farmers receive training to grow safer and higher-quality pepper, access high-value export markets and earn more income through higher and consistent yields.

Australia and Cambodia are helping to promote safer food, stronger livelihoods and world-class agri-food exports.
