Australia expands clean water access in rural Kampong Chhnang

Australia has partnered with Cambodia for over a decade to improve access to clean water. Through 90 projects across 16 provinces, Australian support has helped bring safe, piped water to more than 1.2 million people in rural communities.

This includes Kampong Ous district, where Australia worked with a private water operation to provide piped water to more than 900 households.

Australia is committed to supporting Cambodia’s goal of universal access to safe, clean water by 2030 – improving public health, strengthening climate resilience, and expanding economic opportunities.
