Australia supports the next generation of climate changemakers

Australia supports the next generation of climate changemakers

Cambodia is highly vulnerable to climate change. Without strong action, its GDP could decline by up to 9% by 2050 due to the effects of climate change, with the most vulnerable hit hardest.

Australia is proud to support the Cambodia Youth Climate Change (CYCC) Program, a platform that empowers young people to raise awareness, build networks and lead action on climate issues.

The program culminated in the 2025 CYCC Conference, which brought together 150 high school and university students to showcase climate solutions, from reducing agricultural emissions to using robotics to combat water pollution.

Through the CYCC, Australia is helping young Cambodians shape a more climate-resilient future - at home and beyond.
